CalVigor

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 28, 2026

This policy explains how CalVigor (“the app”), developed by CalProgs, handles your information. Your privacy matters to us, and the app is designed to keep your data under your control.

Information we collect

CalVigor does not collect, store or transmit any personal information to CalProgs or to any third party. We do not require an account, and we have no servers that receive your data.

Data stored on your devices

Information you enter in CalVigor is stored locally on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, the app may sync your data across your devices using your private iCloud account through Apple’s CloudKit service. This data is stored by Apple under your Apple Account, is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy, and is not accessible to CalProgs.

If you grant permission, CalVigor reads your active and resting energy burned, weight, date of birth and biological sex from Apple Health (HealthKit). This data is used only on your device to show calories burned and estimate your maintenance calories. It is never sent to CalProgs, shared with third parties or used for advertising.

Barcode scanning happens on your device using the camera. When you scan a product, CalVigor sends only the barcode number to Open Food Facts (openfoodfacts.org), a free, open food database, to look up its nutrition information. No personal or health information is included in the request.

Analytics, advertising and tracking

CalVigor contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking code. We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we never sell your information.

Crash reports

If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. These do not identify you and are used only to improve the app.

Children’s privacy

Because CalVigor does not collect personal information, it does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 or any other age.

Deleting your data

You can delete your data at any time by deleting it within the app or removing the app from your device. Synced data can be removed in your device’s iCloud settings under Manage Storage.

This website

This website uses Google Analytics with IP anonymization to understand overall visitor traffic. It does not use this information to identify you, and it is separate from the CalVigor app.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the date above.
